Bathtub Glass Partition vs a Single Panel: What's the Difference?
A bathtub glass partition spans the full partition run along the open face of the tub — typically 1,500 mm to 1,700 mm — and creates a continuous water barrier that may combine a fixed panel with a hinged or sliding door section.
A single fixed panel, by contrast, covers only part of that tub length, usually 600 mm to 800 mm, leaving the remainder open. That partial coverage works in walk-in shower trays with angled entry, but on a standard alcove bathtub it leaves a wide splash zone unguarded. For a proper enclosure, the full-span partition is the right choice. We fabricate both configurations in 8 mm or 10 mm tempered glass, which is mandatory under UAE glazing practice for any wet-area enclosure.
